Jonathan Sielaff - Coral City Cassette

“Coral City” - the long-awaited, self-released solo work of Portland-based bass clarinetist Jonathan Sielaff - known for his work in Dreamboat, Golden Retriever, and countless wonderful features on releases from labels such as Beacon Sound, Leaving Records, and Root Strata.

Jonathan’s meditative textural solo works naturally employ the use of his main instrument - the bass clarinet - which shares the room with sequenced electronic textures, manipulated instrumentation, and processed & looped dream tones throughout “Coral City”.

There is a subtle and pure elegant beauty to these works, paralleling the nuanced and naturalistic work of Jonathan’s photography practice, featured on the cassette’s album art.
