As the sounds of birdsong fill the spring air in Portland, “for the birds” hopes to rise and greet them. Our fifth mix in the tone poem mix series features an hour of instruments imitating birds, birds imitating instruments (through sampling), musical collaborations with feathered friends, and some lovely field recordings in between. Including work by Patrick Lysaght, Takatoshi Naito, Aki Domo, and many more.
